Johannes Moser's celebrated interpretation of Edward Elgar's elegiac and deeply lyrical Cello Concerto and Peter Tchaikovsky's elegant "Rococo Variations" is finally back on the market as an (affordable) stereo edition. The album also contains Tchaikovsky's "Nocturne" and the "Pezzo capriccioso" for cello and orchestra as well as an arrangement of the famous Andante cantabile from his first string quartet. Moser performed these masterpieces of cello literature together with the first-class Orchestre de la Suisse Romande under the direction of Andrew Manze.
