Wellesz: Complete Symphonies (4CD)

CPO is delighted to present the nine symphonies of Egon Wellesz in a special 4 CD box set offered at a special budget price. Wellesz, who studied under Schoenberg and became a musicology student of Guido Alder, was forced to emigrate from Austria and moved to England in the wake of Anschluss. For a long time he did not make any music. It was only after the war he regained his creative powers and went on to compose almost half of his oeuvre.
