Popis
Georges Onslow (1784-l 853) was a 19th century composer of chamber music who was highly esteemed and often played. Coming from the highest English aristocracy, he spent his life in France and was in the fortunate position of never having to compose for a living. His music was not only highly esteemed by Beethoven, and its originality and ingenuity also appealed to one of the most aspiring young string quartets we were able to win for our production of the Quartets op. 9, 1 and 3 and op. 47: the Mandelring Quartet.
