Moby: Destroyed (Limited Edition) (CD+kniha)

All the songs on Destroyed were written at night in hotel rooms all over the world. The result is a collection of 15 songs that brings together atmosphere and trepidation with the all-encompassing and beautiful - a melody-rich record that settles into the ear in passing rather than hammering itself offensively into the head. Destroyed was produced by Moby and mixed by Ken Thomas (who has worked with various greats from David Bowie to Queen to Sigur Ros and M83). The album was recorded with vintage analog equipment and mixed with a 1972 Neve mixer from Abbey Road Studios. Moby has been taking pictures for as long as he has been making music and still carries his camera with him everywhere he goes. The title and cover of Destroyed take up the last part of the LED security notice " Unattended luggage will be destroyed ", which Moby photographed in a deserted aisle at New York's La Guardia Airport as it was lighting up. Album and photographs (digipack deluxe version including Pictorial booklet) were taken during the same period and draw their inspiration from the strange yet awesome world of touring life.
