Moderat: III (LP)

With "III" Moderat continue their album series in 2016. The title gives it away: it's longplayer number three. Originally formed as a joint project or supergroup, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary from the DJ duo Modeselektor and Sascha Ring aka Apparat can now be called a "real" band. With "III" they not only complete their trilogy, but also prove themselves to be a well-rehearsed and experienced team that has been making music together for almost as long as in their original formations or solo. They themselves have already described the new album as their most mature work. The electro pop project from Berlin has cobbled together nine new tracks for it, which, as usual, feature a combination of dynamic, often dark electro sounds, bass-heavy beats and the vocals of Sascha Ring. A first taste of "III" was available in February 2016 with the first single "Reminder".
