Popis
Christoph Graupner (1683-1760), born in Saxony and a pupil of Johann Kuhnau, and master of music at the court of Hesse-Darmstadt for more than fifty years, is one of those small and now forgotten masters of early 18th century music, shadowed by their towering contemporaries Vivaldi (1678-1741), Telemann (1681-1767), Rameau (1683-1764), Bach (1685-1750), Haendel (1685-1759).
