Founded and fronted by jazz legend Chick Corea, Return To Forever is one of the most innovative jazz/rock fusion bands of their generation. First formed in the 70s, the band celebrated grandiose comebacks after multiple breakups in 1983, 2008 and 2010. "The Mothership Returns" was recorded with then-new band members Jean-Luc (violin) and Frank Gambale (guitar) in 2011. The set opens with a stunning performance of "Medieval Overture" from their studio album "Romantic Warrior". The newly formed power line-up also features an extended version of "Señor Mouse" and "Shadow Of Low/Sorceress" in this live album.
