Luisa Miller long eked out a shadowy existence alongside such world-famous works as "Traviata" or "Trovatore." But in the 1970s, this unjustly neglected opera moved back into the limelight. This happened especially on the initiative of some great artistic personalities (Montserrat Caballé, Renata Scotto, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras), who discovered for themselves the suggestive power of the music, the extraordinary coloring of this opera and the psychological intensity of the characters and their relationships.
The unforgettable Swiss conductor Peter Maag shows himself to be a subtle, adaptable interpreter of the constantly changing moods of this work. And last but not least, this recording is perfected by the singing of Luciano Pavarotti, who in 1974, the year of the recording, was at the peak of his skills and general popularity. Prihlásenie
