Music by the Italian composer has been performed around the world and consistently praised by critics. He started his career with postmodern experiments especially on the opera stage.
In recent years, he has focused more on works for large orchestra, exploring the possibilities of timbres and textures (sometimes with electronic help) and placing the concept of "historical memory" at the center of his composing. The Violin Concerto contains reminiscences of Alban Berg's Concerto and has a bittersweet lyrical mood.
The Chaconne, on the other hand, although reminiscent of the past in its title, explores the various interactions between electric violin and electronics in a dramatic gesture.
