Just three months after recording his promising Blue Note debut "Page One", tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson returned to Rudy Van Gelder's studio in September 1963 to record his second album for the label, "Our Thing". On it, he once again demonstrated his deep bond with trumpeter Kenny Dorham. As on the previous album, the duo, which is accompanied by an exceptional rhythm section, divides the compositions between them and clearly sets the tone as soloists.
