ALPHA CLASSICS is still very active in exploring its back catalog and continues to release albums that have shaped the history of the label and discography in general. In this fourth series we find Blandine Rannou (Bach's English Suites), Café Zimmermann with music by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien and François Lazarevitch with À l'ombre d'un ormeau', Gustav Leonhardt with Byrd, Les Witches with Dowland, Vincent Dumestre and Le Poème Harmonique with Lalande and Alexis Kossenko with Vivaldi.
The Bach cantatas with Damien Guillon and his ensemble Le Banquet Céleste, which will soon be releasing new recordings on ALPHA CLASSICS, as well as the eagerly awaited re-release of Zelenka's Missa Votiva by Collegium Vocale 1704 under the direction of Vaclav Luks, deserve special mention.
Not forgetting Machaut by Diabolus in Musica, Dufay by Musica Nova and Tartini by Chiara Banchini. ALPHA CLASSICS also includes the classical repertoire in this new COLLECTION series, with Mozart symphonies played by Anima Eterna with Jos van Immerseel and flautist Juliette Hurel presenting works by C. P. E. Bach. And as always, a booklet article in three languages (French, English, German) accompanies each CD in this series.
