Like many of us, Kent has spent the last year online, looking for ways to not lose touch with the outside world. In an effort to not lose touch, she came up with the idea of a song collection that gives expression to our collective desire to roam the world once again through the medium of music. "Songs From Other Places" is accompanied by Art Hirahara on piano and includes interpretations of songs by Stevie Nicks (Landslide), Paul Simon (American Tune), Lennon & McCartney (Blackbird), Gershwin, Weil, Jobim, as well as two new songs co-written with Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro.
